Correspondence Program

The Correspondence Program is another form of private-schooling-at-home. The student's curriculum is chosen by Daniel 1 staff and a schedule of progress is created for the student to follow throughout the school year. The program supervisor will ship the first two units of assignments for each subject. The student works on set 1 and after completing all of it, he ships it back to D1A and begins working on set 2. In the meanwhile the supervisor receives set 1, grades it, and ships out set 3 to the student along with a report of grades from set 1. The student will receive set 3 by the time he completes set 2. In this manner the school year proceeds with no gaps when the student does not have something to work on. Students can receive up to 2 hours per week of tutoring with a teacher at D1A either in person at the school in Cookeville or online using your home computer. Parents' responsibilities include making sure the student is studying every school day and making satisfactory progress as well as administering the unit tests and shipping packages to the school.
