Please call Daniel 1 if you are unsure on how to assign grades and someone will help you.
- GRADES K-3
- Fill in the names of any subjects you want listed on the student's elementary transcript. In the column for grades, use the letters E, S, G or U to show what you rate your child's progress in each subject. Do not put anything in the column for high school credits.
Grading Scale: E = excellent; G = good; S = satisfactory; U = unsatisfactory; - GRADES 4-8
- Fill in the names of any subjects you want listed on the student's elementary transcript. In the column for grades, use the letters A, B, C, D or F to show the grades your student earned in each subject.
- GRADES 9-12
- Fill in the names of the subjects the student studied. BE SPECIFIC!! Do NOT put subjects like Math or Science. Instead be sure and state which math like Algebra 1 or General Math and which science such as Biology or Chemistry. Do NOT list titles of textbooks, just the name of the subject covered by the textbook.
- In the column for grades DO NOT PUT LETTER GRADES! We must have the number grade.
- In the credit earned column, put 1/2 if the student completed half of the subject or if the subject is only worth 1/2 credit. Put a 1 only if the student completed the entire credit for that subject during the current semester. If you give 1/2 credit each semester, our records department will average the two semester grades to determine the final grade for that subject. Do NOT report 1/2 credits first semester and then full credits second semester since that makes it look like the student earned 1 1/2 credits for the full year. Only report what was earned in the current semester and we will add the two semesters together and average the grades before putting them on the high school transcript. Do NOT report any credits smaller than 1/2. Just wait until the semester when the student has completed at least half the credit and then report it. Any credits earned during the summer may be reported on the 1st semester report. High school students may earn a maximum of 7 credits per year unless they have received prior permission from D1A to earn more than that.
- GRADING SCALE FOR GRADES 4-12: A = 100 - 93; B = 92 - 85; C = 84 - 75; D = 74 - 70; F = below 70
Note: We no longer require a report of the number of school days your child has completed.
DANIEL 1 ACADEMY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ACCEPTANCE OF ANY CREDITS WE FEEL ARE QUESTIONABLE.
Note to Parents: When we receive your grades you will be receiving a confirmation email from our records department to alert you that the grade submission was successful. If you do not receive an email within 2 business days, then we probably did not receive it. Call the school to check.
